Great company to work with and the axle fix my Salsa hub perfectly. I needed to reform my BOB trailer yoke and their video was very helpful on how to do this. I also purchased their trailer pins and bobbins which were a perfect fit.

Received my axle in short order. Installed it quickly (with some help) and hooked up my BOB Yak and tried it out, worked great. Look forward to taking it out on the trail. Excellent service!

this thing saved me! Who knew it would be so complicated to attach my old BOB to my new bike!!?? Of course, I didn’t realized until just before our family bike outing that I needed a fix and it was unavailable in my town (several of the bike shops are now carrying Robert Axle Project pieces, just not the right one.) Thanks to my local Trek store for sending me to the Robert Axle Project, and thanks to the Robert Axle Project for sending it so efficiently. I had to reef on the yoke to make it work, but it DID work. maybe now I’ll look at the video referenced in the other review to see how to do it correctly:) Thanks again for the service, Robert Axle Project!!!

The axle fit perfectly on my bike, and works just like the old skewer setups. I used the bobbins from my old skewers and they worked perfectly. The ‘how to’ videos on the site were very helpful in getting the axle set up and the yoke on my BOB resized to fit the wider axel on the new bike. The shipment arrived in must a few days so excellent customer response time so far. I’m glad someone is making axels for BOB trailers that work with thru axel systems. So far I think this is a great product, clean simple and good quality.

I used this axle to attach a Blackburn rack to a Salsa Deadwood. I received quick and thorough follow up on questions about what is supplied and why, mostly because the kit is mostly intended for BOB trailers. Works great. It is actually much better designed and made than the rack itself. The rack is highly adjustable, which I applaud, but the hardware is cheap and the rack itself is pretty flexy. So the news that RAP is taking over (?) OMM racks is I think a very smart move…

Works great with a Trek Stache!

This is my third axle from Robert Axle Project. It was just like all the other deals I’ve done with them. Everything was just as good as the past axles I’ve gotten. My new bike was a little out of the usual for what is made for axles for the Bob trailer set up. My new bike has a through axle but unlike most bikes where the axle threads into the swing arm, mine uses an axle nut. So I made one that works perfect with my new axle. Now I can tow my trailer with confidence. Thanks guys for another great axle. I’m sure there will be more to come. But I am getting a collection going now. LOL.

Great working with you guys again. This is my third Axle from you over the years. As bikes change, axles change. This last one was a little different then any other. My new bike uses a 12mm axle in the rear, but unlike most bikes out there my axle doesn’t thread into the swing arm. It actually goes through and uses an axle nut. That created a small problem with making my drive side bobbin stick way out and leave my trailer off set from center. But I was able to make what I needed and made an axle nut that had the bobbin pin on it and I was able to bring the bobbin back closer to the frame. It now works great and I am again a happy camper. I suppose one day this one will also be in my Roberts Axle collection I am building as I need new axles for my new bikes. LOL

Fits like a glove. Don’t forget you have to also order the RAP BOBBINS. One loses the quick release capability. An old Phillips head screwdriver with a 6mm shaft works. Didn’t have room in my tool pouch, so I connected to the bike frame. If you don’t have some of your farmer grandpa’s baling wire, duct tape works.

Very happy with the service and speed of delivery. I forgot to order washers for the axle and had to order them separately. The spacers were about $1.00 each but the delivery was around $6.00. I needed them so decided to order them. The next day, I received an e-mail telling me that the washers were being sent with my axle so no charge for shipping. I was very pleased with the attention to detail that the company has. Thanks again, Ed Cottell
