Currently, some FOCUS, Centurion and Merida bikes have this type of thru axle. We have R.A.T. compatible axles for the applications listed below. Simply use our Axle Finder to find the R.A.T. Axle for your bike. Installation is simple, easy and instructions are included in our packaging when you purchase a R.A.T. specific axle from us.
Lightning Bolt-On Axle
Replace your front 12mm or 15mm axle or your rear 12mm stock R.A.T. axle (found on some FOCUS, Merida and Centurion bikes) with our lightweight, easier to use Lightning Bolt-On.

Trainer Axle
Our R.A.T. Trainer axle allows use of your R.A.T. axle equipped bike with any wheel-on trainer. It will also work with direct-drive trainers if your trainer allows for use of a 12mm thru axle bike.

For Cervelo Bikes with R.A.T. Thru Axles
Some Cervelo bike models have the R.A.T. thru axle system. This axle includes our replacement R.A.T. derailleur hanger which allows use of our threaded axle. Simply use our Axle Finder to find the R.A.T. Axle for your bike.

If you have a Cervelo bike that has the R.A.T. (Rapid Thru Axle Technology), we’ve got a neat and tidy replacement option. The rear axle comes with our R.A.T. Cervelo derailleur hanger that you will need to install the axle and the front axle comes with a threaded nut.

This thru axle allows you to attach a hitch-mount style trailer (Thule, Chariot, Burley, InStep, etc.) to your R.A.T. equipped Cervelo bike. This axle comes with our R.A.T. Cervelo derailleur hanger that you will need to install the axle.
Kid Trailer Thru Axle for Cervelo Bike with R.A.T. Axle – KID223.C
Legal statement of the obvious. These are not R.A.T. (Rapid Axle Technology) thru axles, but they are a durable and easy to use replacement. Our goal is to produce a solution for bikes such as the FOCUS, Merida, Centurion and Cervelo bikes that have R.A.T. axles. No permanent modification is required of your bike. At any time you can return your bike to using the R.A.T. thru axle by simply reinstalling the R.A.T. nut and thru axle that came with your bike. All trademarks of R.A.T. are respected.
