The Robert Axle Project was born from a deep passion for adventure and we think bike touring is one of the most rewarding ways to experience that “ trip of a lifetime.” Some of our fondest memories come from bike tours—the places we’ve stayed and the people we’ve met along the way.
MICRO ADVENTURES FOR EVERYONE
For some of us, escaping the 9 to 5 grind is perhaps the hardest part. But bike touring doesn’t have to be defined by the length of the trip, where you go, or how far you ride. An overnight trip from your house—the “ 5-to-9 microadventure” trip—can create that same feeling of freedom.
Microadventures are accessible to nearly everyone. All you need is some basic gear and the desire to get out of the grind for a while. The Robert Axle Project is happy to be one part of your adventures, big and small.

Yes, you can attach your BOB Trailer to any bicycle that has a 12mm thru axle. Simply use our Fitment Finder to find the Robert Axle that fits your bike. Remove your stock thru axle that came with your bike, replace it with a Robert Axle, and follow our instructions to attach your BOB Trailer.
THRU AXLES FOR CARGO RACKS
Old Man Mountain is the only manufacturer providing a solution for attaching racks to 12mm thru-axles and we have partnered with them to provide thru axles for cargo racks.
