    Dear all!
I’m very happy – after a long time of searching – to have found this axle suiting my fatbike. It fits perfectly, is really light and – finally – there’s no more lever that’s disturbing the look of the bike. Perfect quality and super-fast shipping within 5 days from USA to Germany – okay, German customs took another 10 days 😉
Thanks a lot for your support!!!
    Greets from Germany!

    Hello friends!
This is my assessment of your product:
Excellent quality, very good price, shipping without setbacks.
Perfect as a replacement for a shaft with quick closing.
    Friendly and cordial treatment.
Highly recommended if your intention is to improve your mountain bike.

Warm greetings from the mountains of Old Europe.

I purchased 2 sets of thru-axles from The Robert Axle Project. One set was for a cross bike and the other for a fat bike. Thus far both have performed flawlessly. Especially noticeable is the weight difference and stiffness vs the stock axles. Thanks guys for a great product.

So this is my second axle from Robert Axle Project. I put one on my Kona Big Honzo DL after the OEM skewer kept coming loose. My LBS, Tryon Bike, suggested these guys for an axle and I haven’t had an issue yet with it. Rear end tightened up and no more worries about hitting it on rocks or it coming loose in the middle of a ride.
So I decided to buy one for my fatbike. It’s a locally made, small brand, so they weren’t on the Robert Axle site. I followed their fitting guides, ordered my axle, and after a few cold/wet rides, it’s the same story as my Honzo: rear end tightened up, no more worries about the skewer coming lose (same OEM one as the Honzo) and lower profile. If/when I get another thru-axle bike, my first upgrade will be to one of these axles.

Its perfect for my Fat Bike

  7. Dominic Libby (verified owner)

Excellent stuff. Strong low profile axle is just the ticket to give me peace of mind when I’m away from my bikes and they are locked to the rack. QR’s just make it easier for theft. I carry a mini tool so I decided it’s not much of a problem if I need to pull the wheel. I have one on my Stumpjumper also.

  8. Greg (verified owner)

Perfect fit for my Motobecane Sturgis. I was looking for a replacement for the cheapie that came with the bike and would not stay tight. This was a perfect match and cleans up the look of the bike by getting rid of that large quick release lever. The quality is high and the threads match perfect. The axle stays tight and does what it is supposed to. Great product.

  9. Tom (verified owner)

No one wants to go through that moment of snapping off the lever on their TA after getting a little overzealous, especially when you have a ride coming up. With the myriad of different sizes, standards, lengths, etc. the fact that you can go to one single source, find your specific bike is awesome. Combine that with getting a quality TA replacement (better than the original in fact) inside of a week? Win. (Scott “Big Jon” owner)

  10. Jeff (verified owner)

    Quality product.
    Works perfectly.
Purchased for 197 thru axle fatty.
    Great customer service/communication

  11. David Blanchette (verified owner)

Very happy after many failed attempts at finding the correct axle. I purchased a new old-stock Trek Farley which needed a rear axle. After entering a few details in the Axle Finder I found what I was looking for and ordered it. Fits perfect and is very high-quality. Fast shipping too 🙂 Greetings from Massachusetts & New Hampshire.

  12. Jared Mann (verified owner)

The axle is perfect. I appreciate these guys verifying that you order the correct axle for your bike.

  13. Jay

This axle is getting harder to find these days. Ordered and had it in a few days, popped right in with no issues.

  14. Marc (verified owner)

Worked great on my Farley. A lot less stuff hanging out there. Nice fit and finish. Some weight savings also, although on a fat bike who is counting calories?

  15. Blake (verified owner)

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I wish there was a 223mm option, as the threads stick out the side of my frame by a fraction of an inch, but it’s really not an issue.

  16. Will (verified owner)

Had a creak that i felt in the bb but found out it was caused by the rear quick release and transferred to the bb. Instead of getting another qr that could fail i found this website which is the only place i could find the correct size axle for my bike which is a fat bike motobecane titanium nighttrain. Axle fit perfect, high quality and tight tolerances, and most important the annoying creak finally gone. Also saved a bit of weight haha.

  17. Damien (verified owner)

Bought a set of axle for my fatbike after the stock quick-release wouldn’t hold in place. High-quality, looks amazing. Also super fast shipping to EU / Norway!

  18. Gergely Vasvari (verified owner)

Superb quality, fast shipping to EU

  19. Brian (verified owner)

Works great for my fat bike. Odd size axle which is hard to find anywhere and this design is WAY better than the quick release version that failed on my original bike.

  20. BAW (verified owner)

Somehow I lost my axle on my bike during a long trip across country. Not knowing what size I would need, I took it to the local bike shop. They told me what size I needed, but said they couldn’t find one anywhere. I got on the internet and in five minutes found the axel at Robert Axle. I ordered it on Wednesday afternoon and had it by noon on Friday! The fit was perfect!! I was Very impressed with the quality and the unexpected speed of delivery!! If I ever need another axel… my first place to look will be here!!

  21. Epoxy Boy (verified owner)

Worked perfect on my Farley 9.6 frame.

  22. Geoffrey (verified owner)

    EXCELLENT QUALITY!

  23. Michael Granneman (verified owner)

Excellent customer service, I’ve used Robert Axles for many years. I did have a recent issue with a bob trailer axle breaking and the co-owner called me to find out the details. He quickly responded to a email I sent in to customer support. They are sending me a new axle and a return label for the broken one to evaluate what happened. Unfortunately the seat stay of my titanium bike is bent from the crash, I’m ok… most companies today won’t even respond or give you a song a dance, the guys as Robert Axle actually care about quality throughout their company. Will buy again knowing that.

  24. Phil (verified owner)

My original axel lever broke like a potato chip. I was pleased to find a quality sturdy alternative to get my Fat bike up and running.

  25. Ray

All great, product, service, nice to see.

  26. Jeff (verified owner)

I searched all over the internet for this axle for my Fat tire E Haibike!
It was like trying to find a needle in a haystack because the thread pitch was not common.
The website made it easy to identify the exact axle I needed.
Fair price and seems to be very good quality.
    Shipping was fairly quick also.

  27. Martyn Sibbald (verified owner)

This was exactly what I was searching for. The quick-release broke on my Norco BigFoot 6.3 (2017) and my local bike shop wasn’t able to source a replacement for me. So I was stoked to find this site.

The only challenge I has was determining the thread width. My bike wasn’t listed on the site… so I printed the provided template to help manually determine the thread width. I also tried using a caliper… but the two sizes were so close I couldn’t be sure. Eventually found an article on the internet that specified what the width was for my axle.

The axle arrived quickly and it was a perfect fit!
    Highly recommend.

  28. B. Lawrence (verified owner)

This axle is rock solid. The stock rear thru axle on my fatbike kept coming loose on rough terrain. These axles are well made and far superior to the stock axles.
